HYDERABAD: Qaumi Awami Tehreek leader Ayaz Latif Palijo has called off province-wide strike in Sindh on Monday after meeting with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) delegation, Geo News reported.

In a rare move, MQM Rabitta Committee members arrived at the residence of Ayaz Latif Palijo late Sunday night.

The MQM delegation included Kanwan Navid Jamil, Wasim Akhtar, Zubair Ahmed Khan and others.

Former chief minister Sindh Arbab Ghulam Rahim was also along with MQM delegation.

Ayaz Palijo said meeting with MQM delegation was beginning of reconciliation. He said unity of Sindh should be separated from other small issues.

Palijo further said there is need to work for education in Sindh. He also thanked MQM delegation for their visit.

MQM leader Wasim Akhtar said they have invited Ayaz Palijo to visit Nine Zero (90).
