IHC declares NADRA ex-Chairman’s appointment valid

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) Monday, declaring the appointment of Tariq Malik as Chairman National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) legitimate, suspended the government’s notification of his dismissal, Geo News reported.

IHC had issued a stay order against the dismissal of Tariq Malik on December 3 and after hearing the arguments of the lawyer the court had reserved its judgment on December 13.

IHC Justice Noorul Huque Quraishi today while declaring the appointment of Tariq Malik lawful said that he was on leave and on return he found much has changed by now, but he had reserved the judgment earlier.

It is pertinent to mention that Tariq Malik has already resigned from the post.
