ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has called Indian Army Chief’s remarks as ‘provocative’ and said that it wanted to maintain peace on Line of Control (LoC).
Foreign Office Spokesperson Tasneem Aslam, at the weekly news briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, said progress has been made recently for improvement in the situation as a result of DGMOs meeting.
Regarding Iran's nuclear program‚ she said Pakistan has always stressed for a resolution through dialogue as there is no military resolution of Iran's nuclear program.
She said Pakistan and Iran do not require a new agreement on the gas pipeline project as an agreement already exists between the two countries in this regard. She‚ however‚ said adjustments can be made regarding the timeline of the project.
The spokesman further said Pakistani soil was not being used against any other country, therefore, Afghanistan’s soil should also not be used against Pakistan.
