KARACHI: Patron in Chief, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sunday strongly condemned the cowardly Taliban attack, which resulted in the martyrdom of 20 brave sons fighting to safeguard their motherland from the scourge of terrorism.
“Our soldiers are being killed our patriotic politicians are being mowed down almost every institution and segment of our society is being attacked barring the scared and apologetic ostriches” said he.
Bilawal said the entire nation needed to stand up against these anti-Islam and anti-Pakistan elements and finish them off before they annihilate all of us.
He further said that those who had refused to recognize TTP as the enemy of the state and perpetuated the myth of “peace talks” had on their hands the blood of thousands of innocents.
Bilawal expressed sympathies with the bereaved families of soldiers and prayed for eternal life for the martyred soldiers.
A bomb claimed by the Pakistani Taliban killed 20 soldiers and wounded 30 when it ripped through a military convoy in the restive northwest earlier on Sunday.
The attack, one of the deadliest to hit Pakistani security forces in recent years, happened in the city of Bannu near the North Waziristan tribal region which is a stronghold of militants linked to the Taliban and Al-Qaeda.
