PESHAWAR: Advisor to the prime minister Amir Maqam has said that the government is willing to hold talks with the Taliban.
Talking to Geo news after addressing the open kutchery here Sunday, Amir Maqam asked Imran Khan, Maulana Sami ul Haq, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Munawar Hassan to unearth the agenda of the Taliban.
The advisor said that the government is willing to restore peace without shedding blood.
He said that no such agenda would be accepted which called for an end to the government’s writ.
Amir Maqam further said that if the federal government made efforts to eliminate terrorism and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would not help it, militancy would rise in the country.
