Karachi operation not targeting any political party: Army

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army on Thursday said that the Karachi Operation was not directed against any political party rather it was being carried out without any discrimination.

Commenting on JIT report into Baldia Factory fire, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations Asim Bajwa said that the investigation team that prepared the report was headed by DIG South Zone and not by a military officer.

He said the JIT report was presented on nobody’s order but the court’s instructions, adding that the report was submitted with the court for the second time.

Bajwa said a suspect is arrested on the basis of a crime and not over any other consideration.
