TTP sympathizers to be kept under check: Rasheed

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information, Pervaiz Rasheed Monday said that those who keep a soft corner for the Taliban will also have to be kept under check.

Talking to reports who staged a walkout from National Assembly over threats to the media persons, the Information Minister said not only journalists, but politicians, worship places and security forces are also being made target of terrorist attacks.

“The kind of Sharia law the Taliban propagate is beyond our comprehension,” he said, asking, whether Shariah allows attacks on worship places.

Pervaiz Rasheed said the people and government should have unanimity in their viewpoint. “We will have to be one page that the campaign these Taliban are engaged in is not our fight,” he added.
