Rangers man killed in Nazimabad twin blasts

KARACHI: A Rangers troop was martyred and five others including two security men were injured when a Rangers’ check post came under attack Wednesday morning, Geo News reported.

According to the rescue sources, the first blast occurred when unidentified miscreants hurled a hand grenade on a Rangers’ check post in Nazimabad area. The other remote-controlled blast occurred just after few minutes of the earlier explosion at the same place.

Due to the twin explosions, initially six persons including two Rangers and a policeman were injured who were shifted to hospital for treatment where one Rangers’ man succumbed to his injuries.

Police reached the spot and cordoned off the area and started investigation.
