Mukhtaran Mai demands justice for Muzaffargarh gang rape victim

MUZAFFARGARH: Rights activist Mukhtaran Mai has called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Supreme Court Chief Justice to provide justice to a widow gang raped here on the orders of a Panchayat.

Mai, who was also subjected to gang rape, said that had she been provided justice in the past, the widow would not have been raped.

She was talking to Geo News on Thursday. Mukhtaran Mai said that such incidents were results of ignorance and non-dispensation of justice to persecuted people.
