TTP spokesman says three member committee is final

PESHAWAR: Spokesman for the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Shahidullah Shahid clarified that the three member committee nominated by the Taliban was final and the government would have to hold talks with them.

The Taliban spokesman emphasized that no new names would be added to their committee and Maulana Samiul Haq had been informed of this.

Shahidullah Shahid’s statement followed an announcement by the coordinator of the government’s committee Irfan Siddiqui seeking clarification over the status of the Taliban’s committee after PTI chairman Imran Khan and JUI-F leader Mufti Kifayatullah declined to be part of the Taliban’s team for dialogue.
