KARACHI: Police Sunday said that the four policemen including the in-charge of the investigation team has been suspended for torturing Fahad Aziz, whose condition deteriorated and later shifted this morning in a critical condition to a private hospital here, Geo News reported
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker, Fahad Aziz wanted by the police for allegedly involved in target killing and other crimes was arrested last night and after deterioration of his condition, he was shifted to a private hospital in Gulistan-e-Jauhar here, police said.
Hospital sources said that Fahad Aziz was brought to their hospital at 7.30 A.M. this morning and being treated in ICU.
MQM leader Rauf Siddiqui said that the police fearing custodial death dumped Fahad Aziz in critical condition at the hospital.
After much hue and cry of his relatives, who are eyewitnesses to police highhandedness while arresting Fahad Aziz, the bridegroom from his wedding party, police finally admitted that his condition turned critical during investigation and four policemen including the in-charge of the investigation team has been suspended on the charge of torturing Fahad.
But at the same time police have registered a case against Fahad at the Shah Faisal Colony police station.
SSP East, Pir Mohammad Shah said that Fahad Aziz is being investigated in three different cases and he would be presented in the judicial magistrate court tomorrow for remand.
