KARACHI: The Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) on Saturday said that only the MQM was being singled out in the ongoing operation in Karachi.
Addressing a press conference, Haider Abbas Rizvi said that MQM workers and Muhajirs were being targeted by Rangers and the police in the operation, which he said had lost its direction since it was aimed at terrorists, banned outfits and criminal elements.
He said that the MQM workers were being subjected to inhuman torture in the custody and they were being killed extra judicially.
Rizvi said an MQM sympathizer Muhammad Arif who was arrested on Thursday had been found dead on Saturday.
He said that an application was also filed in the Sindh High Court about the disappearance of the deceased.
