KARACHI: Violence has erupted in different areas of the metropolis.

At least five people were killed when unknown gunmen opened fire at a car in the Oragni Town area. The target of the attack was a local leader of the Awami National Party (ANP) Dr Israr who was killed.

Two people have been injured in a ball bomb blast on New MA Jinnah Road.

Over in Lyari there were reports of firing and blasts from several areas as a result of clashes between rival groups.
