ISLAMABAD: The opposition parties has called for a joint sitting of the parliament, Geo News reported on Tuesday.

PPP stalwart and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah on Tuesday stressed the need for a joint strategy to cope with terrorism.

He said that people were pinning their hops on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as he had become the premier for the third time.

Shah said that poverty and unemployment were on the rise due to terrorism, which needed to be dealt with immediately.
