LAHORE: The Punjab Health Department has set up a special cell to combat the rising incidence of Swing Influenza after 7 cases were reported in the province.

In the year 2015 two people died of the H1N1 virus and as many as 19 cases were reported.

Meanwhile according to the Director General Health Services Amjad Shahzad, five cases of the H1N1 virus had been reported till Thursday and one patient had died of the illness.

According to media reports, Punjab Health Secretary Najam Ahmed Shah ordered the concerned authorities to remain vigilant and to make arrangements to educate people about the illness through SMS services.
