Altaf says Taliban rule most parts of Karachi

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has said that Taliban were ruling most parts of Karachi.

Addressing party workers on Friday by telephone, he said he had demanded army should take over if the government didn’t come up with a clear policy.

He said that he was opponent of army rule but those who didn’t know meaning of democracy had now become champions of democracy.

Hussain said that he was flogged and sentenced to nine months imprisonment during Ziaul Haq’s era.
