LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has asked the Pakistan army not to accept any decision of the government which may earn the country a bad name.
Addressing the MQM workers in more than 35 citites on the occasion of 30th foundation day of the party, Altaf Hussain said that if the government ordered the military to send its troops to any country then the Pakistan Army should not follow the orders.
The MQM chief said only military officers had changed the corrupt system in Pakistan's history.
He further said to get a case registered against him if these statements were considered treason.
Altaf said that democracy can not come to the country where there is a feudal system. Girls are being killed in the name of honour, he added.
The venue has not yet been decided where the government would hold direct talks with the Taliban representatives, he said, adding that there is a need to eliminate terrorism in order to ensure security and prosperity of the country.
