ISLAMABAD: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has given a go ahead for the third tranche of 555.6 million dollars for Pakistan under Extended Fund Facility (EFF) programme.
The sources of Ministry of Finance told Geo News that the above amount will be released in the next few days.
The IMF board meeting in Washingon reviewed the economic performance of Pakistan and lauded the reforms introduced by the government, the sources said.
The sources further added that the third tranche of loan is expected to be released by March 27.
The IMF had approved 6.78 billion loan programme for Pakistan under EFF in September 2013.
