JAMAICA: Bids have been made for cricketers to take part in the Caribbean Premier League which will begin in West Indies on July 5.
Several Pakistani players will feature in the tournament but surprisingly no teams made a bid for Shahid Afridi. Another Pakistani all-rounder Abdul Razzaq was also ignored in the bidding process.
The Pakistani players who will feature in the league include former T20 Capitan Mohammad Hafeez, Ahmad Shahzad, Sohail Tanveer, Nasir Jamshed, Shoaib Malik and Imran Nazir.
England’s Kevin Pietersen was the first played selected and received a maximum bid of $80,000.
