LAHORE: Vice Chairman, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Shah Mehmood Qureshi Sunday claimed the government that had once promised to break the begging bow had now started working on the next year’s budget in the light of dictation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

“The incumbent government had claimed not to take help form the IMF but today the Finance Minister is seen engaging in talks with the Fund over budget preparation,” Qureshi observed while addressing a programme held under the auspices of Insaf Students Federation here.

He said today’s Pakistan is not the one as had been envisioned by the Quaid-e-Azam. “Not even a single state organization is free from corruption,” he added.

Qureshi lamented that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) despite enjoying the status of being the only party with majority was making moves to join hands with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

He said PPP was no longer the party of Bhutto; it has become Zardari’s party.
