Two gunned down near district court in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: Two persons were killed and two others sustained injuries when the rival group opened fire near district court in Rawalpindi on Friday, Geo News reported.

According to RPO Rawalpindi Akhtar Hayat Lalika, senior lawyer Sardar Ameer Khan Advocate and Sardar Ameer Abbas were killed when the culprits opened fire in front of the district court gate.

One of the two victims died on the spot while the other succumbed to his injuries after reaching the hospital.

As a result of prompt action, police arrested the culprits involved in killing the two persons including a senior lawyer.

Police suspects that the incident is the result of old enmity among the two groups.
