PESHAWAR: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman Shahidullah Shahid Sunday said that the TTP has nothing to do with the ongoing fight between two rival groups, however, he said efforts were afoot for a truce between the warring groups, Geo News reported.

TTP central spokesman Shahidullah Shahid told Geo News via telephone from an unknown location, that a section of the media has launched a propaganda campaign on the pretext of some simple bitterness among the TTP and we would like to clarify that the ongoing fight between the two groups has nothing to do with the TTP.

However, he said some bitterness did arise but was immediately resolved following intervention by the TTP central Shura. He said that this matter was in no way linked with TTP-government talks and ceasefire.

Shahidullah Shahid said that all segments of the TTP abide by the decision taken by the central Shura on the order of Maulana Fazlluah.

He further said TTP rejects all propaganda and added we believe in the supremacy of Shariat-e-Islami.
