99 suspects held in Karachi police search operation

KARACHI: The police conducting a search operation have taken into custody 99 suspects at Gulistan-e-Jauhar on Monday morning here, Geo News reported.

Police along with Rapid Response Force surrounding the Madho Goth area in Gulistan-e-Jauhar launched a search operation on the information of the presence of accused involved in street crimes on the University Road, said the Gulshan-e-Iqbal SP, Tanvir Hussain Tunio.

He said this was the first operation since the martyrdom of a DSP and ASI in an encounter with the land mafia few months ago in this very area.
