Senate committee passes resolution to remove ban on YouTube

ISLAMABAD: The Senate s Functional Committee on Human Rights had unanimously passed a resolution about lifting ban on YouTube .

PML-N Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed on Monday called for lifting ban on YouTube saying that it was a source for information for every segment of the society. Speaking on a point of order in the Senate, Mushahid said no Islamic country had imposed ban on YouTube.

He said the government should take steps to remove unnecessary material from the YouTube.
