ISLAMABAD: An unknown man tried to break into the house of wounded Geo News anchor Hamid Mir but the security guard present there foiled his attempt.
An unidentified person aged 20-22 years scaled the outer wall Hamid Mir’s house in Islamabad at 1:00 AM Tuesday. The private security guard on duty inside the house spotted the intruder. Upon being noticed, the intruder hit the guard with a stone and in a brisk move fled from the house.
The report of the incident has been sent to IG Islamabad and the concerned SSP. Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has also been informed.
Senior journalist and Geo News anchor Hamid Mir had been critically wounded in an armed attack in Karachi on April 19. He is presently recovering in a private hospital of the metropolis.
