Faruqi Panel wins KCCA elections

KARACHI: The Faruqi panel were declared winners in Karachi City Cricket Association’s (KCCA) election held at National Stadium Karachi on Friday.

Professor Ijaz Faruqi was elected as the President of KCCA while Shafiq Kazmi and Mushir Rabbani were elected as Secretary and Treasurer respectively.

The elections were contested by two groups namely Faruqi panel and Nadeem Omar panel which the former won with a clear majority.

The winning presidential candidate Professor Ijaz Faruqi got 15 votes.
