ISLAMABAD: Reporters Without Borders announced '100 Information Heroes' a day before World Press Freedom Day on May 3.

The list of journalists which has been issued for the first time also included Pakistan’s senior journalist and Geo News anchor Hamid Mir who survived an assassination attempt last month in Karachi.

The non-profit international organization described Hamid Mir as Star Reporter. Besides the assassination attempt in which Mir sustained six bullets a bomb was also found under his car in Islamabad last year.
