KARACHI: A man was killed when unknown gunmen opened fire in C-1 area of Liaquatabad while police arrested an accused during a raid in Orangi Town area, Geo News reported on Monday.
According to SSP Orangi Town, two persons belonging to a political party got injured when unidentified armed culprits opened fire on Shah Faisal intersection. The injured workers were identified as Akbar and Wajihuddin who were shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.
Taking a prompt action, police conducted raids in Pakistan Bazar area of Orangi Town and arrested an accused who was involved in attacking the two political party members and injuring them. The accused were identified as Noor Alam alias Munna while arms were also seized from his possession, police sources told.
A man was killed in firing in C-1 area of Liaquatabad while another was injured in Peerabad.
