Train accident near Bandi kills woman, injures 15

NAWABSHAH: An accident occurred to Karakoram Express near Bandhi due to which engine and four bogies of the train overturned, leaving a woman dead and 15 other passengers injured.

The passenger train was moving from Faisalabad to Karachi.

Rescue teams have reached at the site of the incident and kicked off relief activities. Emergency has been imposed in Peoples Medical Hospital and other hospitals located in Daur and Bandhi.

Condition of three injured passengers are said to be critical.

Police said that railway traffic on up and down track have suspended as a result of the accident.
