Mushahidullah blames MQM for May 12 events in Karachi

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim Leagu-N leader, Senator Mushahidullah Khan Monday said Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was responsible for May 12, 2007 violent events in Karachi.

Addressing the Senate, Mushahidullah Khan questioned as to what has led Altaf Hussain to yearn for Pakistani passport decades after he left the country in 1992.

On the other hand, Senator and Senior Vice President of National Party Hasil Bizenjo on the occasion underscored need for holding an inquiry into the May 12 incidents.

Dozens of people had been killed in the May 12 bloodshed in Karachi on the occasion of then chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry’s visit to the city.
