LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has expressed sorrow over the statements of Additional Secretary Interior and Director General Passport that they had not received his application for Pakistani Passport and Identity Card.

He said in a statement on Monday that he had submitted the application in the presence of Wajid Shamsul Hassan, Pakistan’s former High Commissioner.

Hussain further said that he filled his form and NADRA staff took his finger prints, photos and fee as well as documents required for the process.

Altaf Hussain also mentioned his token number and tracking ID in his statement and said Shamsul Hassan was witness to the whole process.

He said on April 7 Foreign Office Spokesman Tasnim Aslam confirmed in a briefing that Altaf Hussain’s application had been received.

Hussain demanded of the authorities to inform him as to when his passport and ID card would be prepared.
