Umer Gul interested in being captain in T-20

LAHORE: Lanky fast bowler Umar Gul has shown interest in captaining the Pakistan team in the T-20 format.

Talking to media during the ongoing summer camp in Lahore the Peshawar speedster said that he wouldn’t want to be labeled as a limited overs cricket player, but because of better performances in the shortest format he wouldn’t mind captaining the team one day.

He was all praise for the summer camp and said that all the players including himself were working hard and feeling very fit.

He further said that Pakistan players should get a chance of playing in the IPL. He also revealed that he was offered a contract by English county Somerset but declined because of the summer camp and Sri Lankan series.
