KARACHI: Senior leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Haider Abbas Rizvi Wednesday said his party representatives discussed with the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif the issue of ‘extra-judicial killings’ of his party’s workers besides non-issuance of passport to MQM Chief Altaf Hussain.
He was talking to media representatives after attending a meeting presided over by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over the law and order and attended among others by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen. Raheel Sharif, Director General ISI Lt. Gen. Zaheerul Islam, DG Rangers Maj. Gen. Rizwan Akhtar and IG Police Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari.
The meeting at Governor House was also participated by the Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan, Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Amir Jamat-e-Islami, Sirajul Haq and other senior officials.
Haider Abbas Rizvi said a committee has been formed in response to the MQM’s demand over the targeted crackdown on criminal elements in Karachi.
