MQM postpones today’s protest demonstration

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has postponed protest demonstration, scheduled at Numaish Chowrangi today (Sunday), Geo News reported.

The protest demonstration was postponed on the directives of MQM chief Altaf Hussain after assurance from the government and other high authorities on the matter of ID card and passport.

Earlier, Altaf Hussain said the government and other high officials have assured to resolve the issue of his ID card. Altaf said he wanted that the matter be resolved amicably.

He asked the MQM Rabitta Committee to postpone today’s protest demonstration as a good will gesture on the assurance over ID card.

Altaf said the country was facing various challenges and they did not want such problems further increase.
