Rashid asks Sindh CM to review Shahid Hayat’s removal decision

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has stated that provincial government is responsible for law and order in Karachi.

In a statement here Friday, Pervaiz Rashid assured Karachiites that the federal government and PM Nawaz Sharif would continue to monitor operation in the port city.

Rashid said it was decided in the meeting, presided over by the prime minister, that the provincial government will lead the operation and the Chief Minister Sindh will be captain of it.

The minister said AIG Police Shahid Hayat is a good police officer and the Sindh government had itself chosen him. He said removal of Hayat is irresponsible and non-serious act and the chief minister should review the decision.
