One troop martyred, 14 militants killed in Bajaur attack

BAJAUR AGENCY: At least one soldier was martyred and two others injured when militants from across the border attacked the Pakistan Army check posts early Saturday morning in Bajaur Agency, Geo News reported.

According to military sources, 14 militants were also killed in the pre-dawn attack when the Army retaliated their attempt.

A large number of terrorists from across the border attacked a group of Pakistani posts... 14 terrorists have been killed so far," a senior military official told.

The attack took place around 0015 GMT.

"One soldier embraced martyrdom and two others were wounded critically," the official said.

Another military official confirmed the attack and casualties.

Bajaur is one of seven semi-autonomous tribal regions plagued by insurgency.
