Three held in Lahore search operation

LAHORE: Police claimed to have arrested three suspects during a search operation in Band Road area, Geo News reported Thursday.

The police said that the search operation was carried out in view of potential threat of terrorist attack.

The police entered slum areas along the road and searched several houses besides checking identification cards of the residents.

Residents accused the police of violating their privacy by conducting search without any search warrants. Two motorcycles were also confiscated during the operation.
