KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr. Farooq Sattar Saturday warned that Pakistan is presently faced with grave threats to its survival and security.

Addressing a press conference here, Dr Sattar said the armed forces of Pakistan were fighting a war with complete dedication.

He said a historic public rally is being staged in Karachi on Sunday to express solidarity with the army.

“Tomorrow’s rally will prove that terrorism and Pakistan cannot go side by side,” he said, adding the purpose of the procession is to promote peace and stability which constitute fundamental rights of the Pakistani people.

He ruled out elimination of terrorism without first crushing the menace of extremism.
