Extortion complaints on the rise in Karachi

KARACHI: Complaints against extortion are once again on the rise in Old City area of Karachi, Geo News reported.

Traders said that extortionists were demanding money and ration in the name of Eid package in the holy month by threats of violence.

They lamented that the police had become a silent spectator and were reluctant to take action against elements involved in extortion.
