GUJRAT: Opposition leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah Sunday said there was no need to invoke Article 245 and that all the parties should have been taken into confidence by the federal government before taking any step.
Talking to media persons here, Khursheed Shah said holding a protest constituted a basis right for all but added it must be ensured that the system does not derail.
To a question, he said Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), which he claimed represented a genuine opposition in the country, was playing its due role in an effective fashion.
Khursheed Shah described as unfortunate what he called the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s silence over the plight of Palestine during his visit to Saudi Arabia and its King Shah Abdullah.
