ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has rejected former Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry request to access the contempt of court case records of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan.
The Registrar’s Office stated the former chief justice was not a party in the case and could not be provided with a copy of the records.
The lawyer for the former chief justice said an appeal would be filed against the decision of the Registrar’s Office as documents pertaining to the case were now part of the public record.
