Heavy contingent of police reaches around TMQ secretariat

LAHORE: Heavy contingent of police has reached around Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran (TMQ) secretariat in Faisal Town Lahore, Geo News reported.

Barriers have been erected on the roads leading to Dr Tahirul Qadri's residence and all roads around Faisal Town have been sealed.

The Punjab police have lodged a case against Qadri for incitement to violence and hate speech.

According to police, Qadri had provoked his workers during a speech asking them to take law into their hands.

The case was lodged after an analysis by the law department in Lower Mall police station on behalf of a citizen. However, a spokesman for the provincial government said he was not aware of any case against the Awami Tehreek chief.
