Lahore: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that if the both sides did not sit together to resolve the issues the Long March may follow Double March.

Talking to the media at Mansoora with senior JI leaders, Sirajul Haq said if the political leaders did not show tolerance for one another the game would go out of their hand and then they might have to rest at home.

Haq noted that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif while announcing a judicial commission to probe into the rigging in elections had no given any time frame for completing the job.

If the rulers think the masses and the political parties should not put any demands to them they should relinquish the office of the Prime Minister because the people have the right to put their demands before the rulers.

He said if the government intended to obstruct the Long March by force it should abandon the idea and instead concede the protesters the right to protest because the public march can’t be stopped by placing containers or creating obstacles.

The Islamabad administration should prepare to treat the protesters as guests instead of giving them threats, he added. Haq said we should celebrate August 14 as a dignified and respectable nation and should not an impression to the world that harmed our honour.

“I only wish that Nawaz Sharif, Imran Khan and other political parties heads had joined hands at the Independence Day function to show complete national unity and harmony”, he remarked. (PPI)
