Court orders lodging of murder case against Nawaz, Shahbaz, others

LAHORE: A sessions court judge in Lahore has ordered police to lodge a case against 21 persons including Prime Minister, Chief Minister Punjab and former provincial law minister over Model Town tragedy, Geo News reported.

The court issued its order to register the case under clause 156 of criminal proceedings.

The court ordered Faisal Town police to act as per law of the land for registration of the case.

On June 17 at least 14 people were killed and over 90 injured when PAT workers and police clashed outside the Minhaj-ul-Quran Secretariat in Model Town, Lahore.
