ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief, Imran Khan on Sunday threatened the government with a countrywide strike and that his party could go even further and hold ‘wheel jam’ protests.

In his speech to the participants of his sit-in outside the Parliament House, Imran Khan said his supporters were being stopped by placing containers on the routes leading to the venue of the protest. “The workers are being forced to dismount their vehicles,” he added.

Imran Khan said his workers on just one order from him could go and challenge the police. “Both police and containers are our own and, thus, we don’t want to create anarchy.”

He asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as to how much property his children owned in foreign countries and warned of not paying the electricity bills unless he is provided with these details.

He said people could not understand his yesterday’s statement in which he had said that he would not tie the knot until formation of new Pakistan. He said he wanted to make it clear that he would even put his personal interests on hold and direct all energies toward making ‘Naya Pakistan’.
