JAMRUD: The driver and cleaner of an oil tanker truck supplying fuel to NATO installation were killed in Jamrud on Monday.

Moreover two Khasadar Force personnel were kidnapped from Soor Kamar area of Jamrud.

Unknown militants opened indiscriminate firing with light automatic rifles on the oil truck near Karkhano check post in Wazir Dhand area of Jamrud. The slain driver was identified as Anayatullah, son of Ajeeb Gul resident of Sultan Khel Khyber in Landikotal while the cleaner as Fazal Rehman, son of Khan, resident of Laki Marwat.

The militants escaped the scene, sources said, adding that other oil tankers were also attacked but they remained safe. The road remained blocked there for a long time after this assault.

Security forces launched a search operation in Wazirdand and other adjoining areas.

Separately two Khasadar Force personnel were reportedly abducted from Soor Kamar area of Jamrud on Sunday. Meanwhile in a remote area of Mehraban Kali of Jamrud sub division of Khyber Agency in Tirrah Valley, a remote controlled bomb blast killed a militant commander affiliated with TTP.
