ISLAMABAD: The joint session of the parliament, which started on Tuesday to discuss the latest political situation, has begun on Wednesday that will continue till Friday.
Soon after Awami National Party (ANP) Senator Zahid Khan opened the debate in the joint sitting of parliament here today, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members including Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Shafqat Mehmood and Asad Umer reached the House and were welcomed with noise created by the other members.
On this, Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq ordered them to maintain order in the House as it was not D-Chowk and refrained them from commenting.
All the political parties on Tuesday backed parliament and the Constitution, and urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif not to resign at any cost.
Speaker NA Ayaz Sadiq and Chairman Senate Nayyar Bukhari are jointly presiding over the session.
President Mamnoon Hussain had summoned the joint session of the parliament on the advice of PM Nawaz Sharif who is also present in the session today.
In this regard, the Prime Minister had consulted Opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah and Opposition leader in the Senate Aitzaz Ahsan.
