15.2 million stolen, security guard killed in Karachi heist

KARACHI: A private security guard was killed and Rs15.2 million was stolen in a robbery in Sher Shah area of the city on Thursday.

Police suspect that one of the private security guards who was supposed to be guarding the cash-van might be involved in the robbery

SSP Shiraz Nazir said the money was stolen from a cash van and one of the security guards was missing after robbery.

He said that the and Rs 6.7 million have been recovered from the vehicle.
