Khasadar, wife gunned down in Khyber Agency

BARA: Unknown gunmen killed a Khasadar Force man along with his wife in Bara Tehsil of the northwestern tribal region of Khyber Agency early on Saturday morning.

Official sources told that the tribal policeman, identified as Wasit Khan, along with his family was asleep in his house in Qambarabad area when the assault barged into the house and opened indiscriminate firing, leaving him and his wife dead on the spot.

The bodies were shifted to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities.

The assailants fled from the scene after killing the couple. The reason behind the attack could not be ascertained.

The political administration reached the incident spot while security forces cordoned off the area. Further investigation into the killings is underway while the case was also filed.
