ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Siraj-ul-Haq made a telephonic contact with Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq to discuss the matter of resignations of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders.
According to the sources, JI leader Sirajul Haq appealed Speaker Ayaz Sadiq not to show any haste in accepting the resignation of PTI lawmakers. He feared that the current political turmoil could deepen in case the resignations will be accepted without deliberation.
The NA Speaker assured the JI leader that no decision will be made in urgency and that the due constitutional and legal procedure will be followed with respect to the resignations.
